Welcome to the Parkrose Heights Community Garden

Parkrose Heights Community Garden

We are a community project by the Parkrose United Methodist Church (PUMC) in partnership with the Parkrose Heights Association of Neighbors and the Sacramento Elementary School.

We, at PUMC, are convinced that everyone is on a journey of the spirit. We are equally convinced there is nothing more spiritual than working the ground, planting seeds, nurturing them to maturity and sharing the beauty and health of home-grown, organic flowers, vegetables and fruit. It is the development of commuity around this hands-in-the-dirt spirituality, working together, sharing space and time and knowledge that motivates us to organize this garden for folks in our community.

Our plan is to create 16 raised-beds and offer a number of in-ground plots, with community space for conversation and rest. We’ll roll part out this summer (2009) with the rest being completed in the near future.

Interested? Contact us at Welcome@parkroseumc.org and we’ll get you an application and a set of Contract rules, Terms and Conditions for Participation. Sign up and get your hands dirty.
