Monday Morning, July 25, a couple dozen present and future music and drama artists will fill the halls of Parkrose United Methodist Church with squeals of laughter and energy galore. They will learn the skills of singing together, dance to the sound of their own drums, project their voices as they take on the roles of a variety of fun and fantastical characters on stage.
But in the midst of the fun and entertainment they have from spending a week with one another, Music and Drama Camp has a deeper side. These kids emerge with a greater sense of self-worth and confidence. In learning how to sing together they learn to listen to each other and learn what it means to be a team. By the end of the week’s follies the children’s lives have been changed.
Thanks to Molly and Lesley, our senior-level Music and Drama Queens!
Peace – Bill
Psalm 100 1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
